7/13 – A quick update on a few recent trips – our runs to the Canyons have been productive with Yellowfin Tuna, Longfin Tuna, Mahi, and Blueline Tilefish, and Blue Marlin and White Marlin. In between offshore trips, we have done some inshore fishing to find bluefish, cod, and blackfish (released). Here’s a couple of photos…we are booking charters and have some “open boat/reservation only” trips coming up for the canyons – give us a call!

Sorry for the lack of detailed posts lately – been fishing and not writing. We’ve had a number of mid-range shark and offshore canyon tuna/tile trips in the last few weeks. To summarize, lots of action with different species from Mako/Thresher/Blue sharks, and canyon tuna/blue line tilefish/marlin/mahi on last four canyon trips, including a spectacular TWO BLUE MARLIN at 350# and 600# caught barely 5 hours apart on one trip. There’s plenty of blue water canyon fishing to come – we have open boat spots on 7/12, 19, 24, and 26. Call Capt. Alan 609-731-3742 to set up your trip.

5/30 – We had Mike T and his group today for stripers. In short, it was a tough day for everyone. The persistent South wind all week let off yesterday, but back today, which cooled the water down. We had thick fog from our inlet all the way north to many of the usual reliable spots. We never saw any bait on top with the fog, but read some bait on the ride up. Trolling spoons put a nice 25-28# fish in. But we ended up doing a lot of looking and trolling with no more fish today. The guys had a great attitude about the fishing today – and we’ll be seeing them next for the canyon!

5/24 – We had Dave G and company on board for stripers today – no bluefish in our plans today! Found lots of bait pods – some with quality bass under them! Got a call from Capt. Chad who was running his Sea Soda – ran to his area – went 3 for 9 on stripers to 42# today on snag and drop bunker fishing! Wish we did a little better with landing ratio but that’s how it goes some days! Lots more bassing to come!
